Ronald C. May, M.D.


General Ophthalmology

Ronald C May, M.D. is a board certified ophthalmologist who practices in Deerfield and Lake Bluff. He is a graduate of Layfayette College and The Chicago Medical School. His internship and his residency were at Michael Reese Hospital. He was Captain in the U.S. Army, which included a year in Vietnam. He is past president of the Illinois Association of Ophthalmology and past president of the Chicago Ophthalmological Society. Dr. May received the Humanitarian Award from the Illinois Association of Ophthalmology for being instrumental in creating a phacoemulsification course at the Vietnam National Institute of Ophthalmology in Hanoi and the fundraising for construction of the Vinh Linh Blind Facility.
